Dell-ANU Canberra Computer Recycling Day

In June 2007, Canberrans recycled over 35 tonnes of unwanted computer equipment at a one-day event held by Dell and ANU – more than any other Australian city to date where Dell has conducted such events.

Can they beat it this year?

Event: As part of its ongoing to commitment to sustainability, Dell will conduct a community recycling day in association with the Australian National University (ANU), in Canberra. During the event, Dell will collect old computer equipment including keyboards, mice and more* of any brand, from Canberra residents.
The company has recovered over 140 tonnes of used equipment in similar events in Australia. Some of the oldest machines have dated back to the early 1980s.

When: Saturday 17th October
Time: 9am to 3pm
Where: ANU campus, car park opposite Old Canberra House, Lennox Crossing.

*All computer equipment is accepted, including hard drives, monitors, mice, keyboards, scanners, printers, laptops, speakers, cables, ink cartridges and web-cams. Unfortunately, Dell cannot accept TVs, stereos, mobile phones or appliances.
