In October this year Kulture Break are presenting their 6th Annual KB Dance Expo festival. The festival is a creative arts display of dance and music with hip-hop and breakdance being the prevailing artistic outlet exhibited. It is infused with a collection of primary aged children, high schools and college youth together with local dance groups, adult classes and interstate performers. The Kulture Break Expo festival is the only totally inclusive community festival of its kind in Canberra. The theme for this year’s Expo is “Superstars”, designed to encourage all participants to recognise that everyone is a star no matter how ordinary they feel.

 

Kulture Break is a not-for-profit charity arts organisation with a community focus. Since 2002 it has been actively concentrating on supporting the youth of Canberra and surrounding region providing a sense of hope for the future and encouraging them to discover who they really are and letting that shine. With depression, suicide and obesity reaching epidemic proportions our preventative strategies aim to encourage young people to be their best, be active and build their self-esteem in a safe affirmative and friendly environment.
