SILKWORMS!!

So easy to look after, and it's only for a couple of months each year.
I have silkworms ranging from newly hatched (2mm) to about four weeks old (about an inch long), as at November 6th.
I also have eggs.
Just keep them in a small box with plenty of fresh mulberry leaves to eat
At about 6 weeks they will stop eating and start to spin their silk cocoons; after about two weeks inside, they turn into flightless moths, mate, lay eggs and die.
See an entire life cycle - great for school projects or a first pet
You can throw out the eggs or keep them until next spring and start again. Eggs can also be refrigerated for later use.
